Florian Herold studied mainly at the University of Munich where he received his M.Sc. (Diplom) in physics and his Ph.D. (Dr. oec. publ.) in economics. He also studied during a one year Erasmus scholarship at Universidad de Sevilla (Spain) and during a one year Marie Curie fellowship at the University of Cambridge (UK). He was assistant professor at the Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences (MEDS) Department at Northwestern University in Evanston/Chicago (USA). Since summer 2011 he is full professor at University of Bamberg.

Florian Herold’s research interests are in the areas of microeconomics, public economics, political economics, evolution and learning. His work has been accepted by peer-reviewed journals such as the American Economic Review and Games & Economics Behavior.
